Abductions to the Gaza Strip
Over 250 people, including babies, children, disabled individuals, men, women, and the elderly, were kidnapped from Israel to Gaza on October 7th after Hamas terrorists infiltrated into Israeli cities, communities, and the Nova Festival. Almost half of the hostages are also nationals of other countries (including the US, Argentina, Ireland, and Germany), or foreign nationals from Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines, and Russia. The terrorists filmed live footage of many of the kidnappings, and many family members found out about their loved ones’ kidnappings from videos disseminated through the Telegram platform.
Continuing its psychological terror, over the past 9 months Hamas has continued to release videos from the hostages, including from hostages who were killed by Hamas in captivity.
Hostages that have been rescued by the IDF or released in hostage deals have admitted to being physically, sexually, and mentally abused and tortured.
